Lam Dong Ready to Launch Construction of Three More Border Boarding Schools
Alongside accelerating construction of two inter-level boarding schools in Quang Truc and Thuan An communes, Lam Dong Province is ready to begin work on three additional boarding schools in the border communes of Dak Wil, Thuan Hanh, and Tuy Duc.

Site Clearance Completed
The Tuy Duc Inter-level Primary and Lower Secondary Boarding School Project, located in Tuy Duc Commune, Lam Dong Province, has a total investment of VND 225 billion. Construction is scheduled to begin in March 2026 and be completed before August 2027, allowing the school to welcome students for the 2027–2028 academic year.
Over the past months, the Tuy Duc Commune People's Committee has worked closely with Construction Investment Project Management Board No. 3, the project investor, to reach agreements with affected households on compensation and site clearance plans. By the end of June, compensation payments, support packages, and resettlement procedures had all been completed.
Nguyen Huu Luc, Vice Chairman of the Tuy Duc Commune People's Committee, said that local authorities identified site clearance as the project's most critical task. The commune coordinated closely with the investor to strengthen public communication and encourage residents to support the project. As a result, site clearance has now been fully completed and the project is ready for construction.

Similarly, authorities in Thuan Hanh Commune have held multiple meetings with residents whose land and homes are located within the project area for the Thuan Hanh Inter-level Primary and Lower Secondary Boarding School.
Following extensive consultation and public outreach, affected households agreed to the compensation, support, and resettlement plan. Compensation payments were completed during June 2026.

Mai Xuan Quang, Vice Chairman of the Thuan Hanh Commune People's Committee, said that after completing compensation procedures, the commune handed over the cleared site to the investor for land leveling and construction preparation. Local authorities will continue coordinating closely with both the investor and contractors to ensure the project is completed and put into operation as soon as possible.
Determined to Finish on Schedule
Immediately after the simultaneous groundbreaking ceremony in March 2026, local authorities worked with the project investor to complete land surveys, compensation plans, and encourage residents to promptly hand over their land.
In Dak Wil Commune, local authorities and the investor commended households that actively cooperated in the site clearance process to ensure construction could begin as early as possible.
In addition to the official compensation package, affected households also received an additional financial incentive as a gesture of appreciation. Although modest in value, the support reflects local authorities' recognition of residents' cooperation in helping accelerate project implementation.
The local government sincerely appreciates and commends residents for their cooperation in handing over land for the project. With the highest level of determination, local authorities and all relevant agencies will strive to complete the project as quickly as possible.
Hoang Van Tam, Chairman of the Dak Wil Commune People's Committee
According to Construction Investment Project Management Board No. 3, western Lam Dong has now entered the rainy season. Therefore, once cleared land becomes available, contractors have been instructed to begin construction immediately to ensure all projects are completed in 2027.

Ha Si Son, Director of Construction Investment Project Management Board No. 3, said lessons learned from the Thuan An and Quang Truc boarding school projects have helped improve implementation. Contractors have mobilized maximum manpower and equipment, while all three new projects have already begun site leveling and topsoil removal.
Rather than waiting until construction officially starts, Lam Dong Province has prepared multiple measures to shorten the construction timeline as soon as clean sites become available.
Most recently, Lam Dong Provincial Police instructed its affiliated units and police forces from the province's five border communes to provide manpower and labor support for the construction of the inter-level ethnic minority boarding schools.

Under the directive, commune police forces will coordinate closely with local authorities, project investors, and contractors to monitor construction progress and rotate virtually all available officers—except those assigned to essential duties—to assist at project sites.
Specialized police units have also been tasked with identifying officers with expertise in construction, electrical work, plumbing, and mechanical engineering. Rapid-response teams of 15–20 officers will be formed to assist with land leveling, material transportation, concrete pouring, steel fabrication, and other construction tasks as needed.
Each of the three inter-level ethnic minority boarding school projects in Tuy Duc, Thuan Hanh, and Dak Wil communes has a total investment of VND 225.94 billion. Construction officially commenced on March 19, 2026, with all projects targeted for completion before July 30, 2027.
As of now, the Tuy Duc project has disbursed VND 74.213 billion, equal to 52.3% of its 2026 capital plan. The Thuan Hanh project has disbursed VND 59.972 billion, reaching 42.23%, while the Dak Wil project has disbursed VND 65.713 billion, equivalent to 46.28% of its planned 2026 funding.
