Admiring the stunning expanse of purple flowers, local resident Nguyen Thi Phuong remarked: "The view here is truly amazing. It feels like being surrounded by a valley of blossoms. The ambiance is so enchanting, and this blooming season has made our local tourist route even more appealing."
The magnificent bloom extends beyond the Lau Ong Hoang hillside. Along Nguyen Thong Street and Thu Khoa Huan Street, numerous queen's crape myrtle trees at the base of the hill are in full bloom. The breathtaking contrast between the azure sea and white sand on one side, paired with rows of elegant purple flowers on the other, has created an irresistible draw for visitors.
Even residents who have lived here for many years, amid their hectic schedules, find it impossible not to pause and take in the beauty around them. Nguyen Thi No, a resident from Phu Thuy Ward, remarked, "Having spent my entire life in Phan Thiet, I unexpectedly came across the vibrant crape myrtles today. The sight is absolutely stunning."

Beyond the captivating blooms, this seaside area continues to draw tourists with its famous landmarks, such as Ong Dia Rock Beach and the increasingly vibrant coastal road linking Tien Thanh and Ke Ga. Having previously been involved in the tourism sector in Mui Ne, Hoang Thi Nga remarked: "The section of Nguyen Thong Street leading to Lau Ong Hoang is adorned with lovely crape myrtle trees that attract visitors of all ages. Ong Dia Rock Beach has also seen enhancements with vibrant decorative rock installations. Based on my experience in tourism, I know that this area attracts a significant number of tourists towards the end of the year, particularly Western and Russian visitors during the winter holiday season. With ongoing improvements to infrastructure, our tourism potential will continue to expand."

Nguyen Hoang Huy, a tour operator in the area, commented, "I’ve been to numerous destinations and have seen many flower seasons, but the purple blooms under the historic Po Sah Inu towers possess a special allure. A lot of tourists from other regions are now actively booking tours to Phan Thiet solely to capture images of the flowers. As someone involved in local tourism, I'm thrilled not just by the surge in business but also because our hometown is pulling in more visitors."
