Red Cross Hands Over Houses and Offers Scholarships and Livelihood Support in Quang Truc Commune
On July 13, the Lam Dong Provincial Red Cross Society, in partnership with the Provincial Border Guard Command and the People's Committee of Quang Truc Commune, launched a social welfare program to hand over Red Cross houses and provide scholarships, livelihood support and essential assistance to disadvantaged local residents.

The event was held to celebrate the success of the 1st Congress of the Lam Dong Provincial Red Cross Society for the 2026–2031 term and mark Vietnam's War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27).
At the gathering, the organizers handed over two Red Cross houses, each worth VND 60 million, to families facing housing difficulties, helping them secure safer and more stable accommodation. Funding was provided by the Provincial Red Cross Humanitarian Fund and the Lam Dong Provincial Lottery Company.
To help create sustainable sources of income, 12 livelihood support packages were also provided to poor and near-poor households in the commune.
The initiative also awarded 10 scholarships to deserving students from disadvantaged backgrounds who have demonstrated excellent academic achievements, motivating them to continue their studies.
Moreover, organizers visited and presented gifts to 10 policy beneficiary families and people with meritorious services to the revolution as an expression of deep gratitude. The program was implemented at a total cost of more than VND 200 million.
Nguyen Thi Chin, Chairwoman of the Lam Dong Provincial Red Cross Society, stated that the aid showcased a spirit of unity and empathy, highlighting the strong collaboration among the Red Cross, military forces, and local authorities. She emphasized that the initiative not only offered prompt assistance to policy beneficiary families and those in need but also reinforced civil-military solidarity, thereby helping to uphold security and social stability in the border region.
