Lam Dong Wins One Gold Medal and Three Silver Medals at 2026 National Outstanding Youth Badminton Championship
On July 19, Le Tri Dung, Deputy Director in charge of the Lam Dong Provincial Sports Training and Competition Center, announced that the Lam Dong badminton team delivered an impressive performance, winning one gold medal and three silver medals at the 2026 National Outstanding Youth Badminton Championships.
The competition was held from July 12 to 19 at the Bac Ninh Provincial Sports Arena, drawing 467 competitors from 26 teams representing various provinces, cities, and sectors throughout Vietnam.
Participants took part in five events: men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles, and mixed doubles, across six age categories: U9, U11, U13, U15, U17, and U19.
Lam Dong concluded the tournament with a remarkable total of one gold medal and three silver medals. Nguyen Tat Duy Loi won the U19 men's singles championship, while silver medals were earned by Nguyen Duy Ngoc Anh and Le Hong Bao Ngoc in the U19 women's doubles, Tran Khoi Nguyen in the U13 men's singles, and the duo of Tran Khoi Nguyen and Trinh Quynh Vy in the U13 mixed doubles.
The National Outstanding Youth Badminton Championships is a yearly event that is vital for assessing youth training programs, discovering new talent, and choosing potential members for Vietnam's national badminton squad.
The impressive results of the team this year are likely to inspire the young athletes from Lam Dong to continue training and aim for even greater achievements in upcoming national, regional and international competitions.
