Safety Inspection Conducted Ahead of Calibration Flight at Lien Khuong International Airport
State management agencies at Lien Khuong International Airport have carried out a comprehensive inspection of airside security and safety measures to ensure the highest level of safety for the upcoming calibration flight to test newly installed aviation systems and equipment following construction works.

Ensuring Readiness for Calibration Flights
Earlier, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam approved the calibration flight plan to inspect and certify the airport's navigation aids and airfield lighting systems. The flights are scheduled to take place from July 23 to July 28, 2026.
The inspection team comprised representatives from the Immigration Management Division and the Economic Security Division of Lam Dong Provincial Police, the Southern Airports Authority at Lien Khuong, and the contractor responsible for the runway and taxiway rehabilitation project.

Inspectors reviewed airside security and safety plans, examined procedures for controlling personnel and vehicle access to restricted areas, and assessed coordination among relevant agencies as well as on-site construction conditions to ensure full readiness for the calibration flights.
The agencies also agreed on a coordinated implementation plan, assigning specific responsibilities to each participating unit to ensure the calibration flights proceed safely and on schedule. The flights will support the acceptance testing of the airport's navigation and lighting systems following completion of the runway and taxiway rehabilitation project.
Proactive security and safety inspections ahead of the calibration flights are expected to help ensure the quality of project acceptance, facilitate the timely commissioning of completed facilities in accordance with aviation regulations, and support the safe and efficient operation of Lien Khuong International Airport.
