Lam Dong Vice Chairman Meets World Vision Vietnam to Strengthen Development Cooperation
On the afternoon of July 27, Nguyen Minh, Vice Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee, met with a delegation from World Vision Vietnam (WVI) led by Doseba Tua Sinay, National Director of World Vision Vietnam, to discuss ongoing and future development cooperation in the province.
World Vision Vietnam has operated in the country since 1988, implementing development programs in food security, agricultural development, education, healthcare, child protection, disaster risk reduction, climate change adaptation, microfinance and sustainable livelihood development.
Between 2006 and 2023, WVI implemented three development projects in the former Binh Thuan Province, specifically in Ham Thuan Bac and Bac Binh districts, with total funding exceeding US$10.17 million. The projects contributed significantly to improving the well-being of children, particularly those in vulnerable circumstances.
In the former Dak Nong Province, WVI is implementing the Dak R'lap Area Programme (2022–2027) with a total budget of US$2.45 million. Since 2022, the organization has carried out three major program components with funding totaling US$1,452,967.
Speaking at the meeting, Doseba Tua Sinay reaffirmed World Vision Vietnam's commitment to strengthening its cooperation with Lam Dong through integrated development programs. Priority will continue to be given to child protection and participation, improving household livelihoods to enhance the well-being of children and communities, and expanding child sponsorship initiatives.
Vice Chairman Nguyen Minh welcomed the World Vision Vietnam delegation and expressed his appreciation for the opportunity to discuss the implementation of development programs and projects in Lam Dong during the 2025–2027 period.
He highly appreciated the organization's long-standing support in improving local living standards and protecting disadvantaged children throughout the province.

Vice Chairman Nguyen Minh noted that continuing the organization's projects in Lam Dong is both necessary and consistent with the 2022–2027 Cooperation Agreement signed on September 9, 2022, between the former Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee and World Vision Vietnam, under which the organization committed US$2.45 million in development assistance.
According to the provincial leadership, the projects have already delivered positive results by improving child welfare and supporting sustainable livelihoods through community awareness campaigns, infrastructure development and agricultural development models.

The meeting concluded with both sides reaffirming their commitment to maintaining close cooperation and expanding development initiatives aimed at improving social welfare and creating sustainable opportunities for local communities across Lam Dong Province.
