“White Chrysanthemum” Student Hoang Thi Thu Trang Receives Nearly VND111 Million in Support

On August 6, Lam Dong Newspaper and Radio - Television Station, in coordination with the provincial Study Promotion Association, Lam Dong Provincial Youth Union and Thuan An Commune, held a ceremony at Tran Hung Dao High School in Duc Lap Commune to present the “White Chrysanthemum – Continuing the Journey to School” scholarship to Hoang Thi Thu Trang, a student in Class 11A10.

Community Support Helps Sustain Her Journey to University

The ceremony received support from numerous organizations, individuals and benefactors across Lam Dong Province.

Hoang Thi Thu Trang, from Thuan Hanh Village, Thuan An Commune, Lam Dong Province, was born without knowing her father. Her mother disappeared when Trang was four years old. Her only source of support has been her grandmother, Nguyen Thi Hai, who is nearly 60 years old.

Having neither land, a home nor household registration, Hai and Trang received support from the Thuan An Commune authorities, Lam Dong Newspaper and Radio - Television Station and benefactors. In 2021, they were helped to purchase residential land, build a single-story house and complete their household registration in the locality.

Grateful for the support she has received from the community, Trang has remained committed to her studies in recent years and consistently performed well at school. Most recently, during the 2025–2026 academic year, she was recognized as a good student and continued to pursue her dream of entering university.

To support Hoang Thi Thu Trang’s educational journey, the “White Chrysanthemum – Continuing the Journey to School” program, together with the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thuan An Commune, connected with hundreds of organizations, individuals and businesses across Lam Dong Province to provide scholarships for the student.

A total of VND110.95 million was raised at the ceremony. The entire amount was deposited into a savings account at the Dak Mil Transaction Office of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies in Lam Dong Province, providing financial support for Trang as she prepares to pursue higher education.
