Schools receive urgent upgrades
At Ha Huy Tap Primary School in Quang Tin Commune, major construction and renovation works have been completed. The project included the renovation and upgrading of four classrooms covering a total area of 220 square meters, as well as the construction of a new 1,100-square-meter schoolyard, providing students with a safer space for learning and recreation. The facilities are expected to be handed over and put into use before the new school year begins.
Chu Van Duy, principal of Ha Huy Tap Primary School, said the school has worked closely with contractors and monitored construction to ensure the quality and safety of the facilities. The upgrades are expected to improve teaching and learning conditions and give the school a more modern appearance.
At Hoa Mi Kindergarten in Quang Tin Commune, construction of two new classrooms, each covering 100 square meters, is also being accelerated. Once completed, the classrooms will accommodate nearly 50 ethnic minority children who will be transferred from satellite sites to the main campus.
According to Dinh Thi Hoa, principal of Hoa Mi Kindergarten, studying at the main campus will give children access to a wider range of educational activities and allow them to participate in semi-boarding programs, helping improve their care and education.
Quang Tin Commune currently has 16 schools ranging from kindergarten to lower secondary level. During the 2026 summer break, the commune implemented four school construction and renovation projects with a combined investment of more than VND8 billion from the state budget.

Phan Van Tan, head of the commune's Culture and Social Affairs Division, said contractors are rushing to complete the remaining work so the facilities can be put into use before the opening of the new school year.
Alongside infrastructure investment, local authorities have instructed schools to clean and prepare classrooms, supplement teaching equipment and review all necessary conditions for the new academic year.
Prioritizing students in disadvantaged areas
In the border commune of Tuy Duc, preparations for the new school year are also focusing on improving school facilities, particularly at disadvantaged satellite campuses.
For the 2026–2027 academic year, Hoa Mi Kindergarten in Tuy Duc Commune is expected to have more than 300 students, with ethnic minority children accounting for over 65% of the total. The school is receiving more than VND2.3 billion to renovate classrooms and boundary walls at two satellite campuses.
The renovation work is aimed at addressing deteriorated facilities, improving safety and creating better learning and childcare conditions for children.
