Lam Dong aims to complete site clearance for Tan Phu - Bao Loc Expressway in September
On August 10, Deputy Secretary of the Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee Bui Thang chaired a working session with representatives of the provincial People's Committee and relevant departments, agencies and localities to hear a report on the progress of the Tan Phu - Bao Loc Expressway Project.

Attending the working session included Nguyen Hong Hai, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, together with representatives of relevant departments, agencies, units and localities along the expressway route.

According to the report, the Tan Phu - Bao Loc Expressway Project is approximately 66 km long, with a total investment of VND 18.002 trillion. About 55 km of the expressway runs through Lam Dong Province, crossing five communes and wards: Bao Loc Ward 1, Bao Loc Ward 2, Da Huoai Commune, Da Huoai 2 Commune and Da Teh 2 Commune.

About 24 km of the expressway in Lam Dong Province runs through forest land that has been removed from forestry planning, with land-use conversion procedures already completed. The project is expected to require more than 401 hectares of land, affecting 958 cases.

To date, local authorities have approved compensation plans for 909 of 950 households, with total compensation funding exceeding VND 1.095 trillion. Authorities are expediting land inventories, verification of land origins and preparation of compensation plans for the remaining cases.
At the working session, leaders of Da Huoai, Da Huoai 2 and Da Teh 2 communes reported on site clearance progress and outlined difficulties related to verifying land origins, completing compensation dossiers and arranging resettlement.

Representatives of relevant departments and agencies also discussed measures to address bottlenecks and speed up project implementation.
Speaking at the working session, Nguyen Hong Hai, Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee, urged the investor and contractors to prepare sufficient resources and be ready to begin construction immediately after site clearance is completed. Where conditions permit, contractors should mobilize additional workers and machinery and open more construction fronts to ensure continuous progress.

Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hong Hai also urged relevant departments and agencies to closely monitor the project and promptly address issues within their authority. Matters requiring higher-level action should be consolidated and reported to the provincial People's Committee without delay.

Earlier, a Provincial Party Committee delegation inspected several interchanges and resettlement areas in Da Huoai Commune before holding a working session in Da Teh 2 Commune.

During the field inspection, Da Huoai Commune leaders reported on site clearance progress and the handover of cleared land to contractors. A Son Hai Group representative also briefed the delegation on preliminary construction activities at several sites where land had already been handed over.

Concluding the session, Bui Thang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, stressed that the Tan Phu - Bao Loc Expressway is a key transport infrastructure project with major significance for the socio-economic development of Lam Dong Province and the Central Highlands.
He urged localities to prioritize site clearance, speed up the approval of compensation, support and resettlement plans, and strengthen public outreach to build consensus.

Deputy Secretary of the Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee Bui Thang also urged relevant departments and agencies to work closely with local authorities and the investor to address outstanding issues, ensure timely site handover and facilitate the coordinated and effective implementation of the project.

Departments, agencies and localities must mobilize maximum manpower, time and resources to resolve remaining bottlenecks, accelerate the approval of compensation, support and resettlement plans, and remain determined to complete site clearance by the end of September 2026, paving the way for the continuous and timely project implementation.
