Lam Dong launches 100-day drive to address digital transformation bottlenecks in education

According to Phan Thanh Hai, Deputy Director of the Lam Dong Department of Education and Training, the plan aims to remove obstacles to digital transformation while improving platforms, databases and data standards to support management, administrative reform, digital society development and digital citizenship in the education sector.
One of the key priorities is to strengthen the connectivity, sharing and use of education data. Tasks must be carried out on schedule, with specific deliverables, while ensuring quality, effectiveness and verifiability.
The plan focuses on addressing issues related to institutions, digital infrastructure and data, digital platforms, online public services, the digital economy, the digital society, human resources, finance, disbursement and implementation discipline.
The plan applies to professional and specialized divisions and units under the department; preschools, primary schools and lower secondary schools under the management of commune-, ward- and special-zone-level People’s Committees; and relevant agencies.

The Department of Education and Training requires heads of units to take responsibility for assigned tasks and follow the principle of clearly defining responsibilities, tasks, accountability, timelines and expected results. Units are also required to prioritize the use of unified and shared platforms and databases while limiting fragmented investment and implementation.
Notably, a task will only be considered complete when it produces the required deliverable supported by verifiable evidence. For information systems, databases, platforms and digital services, the products must be operational, contain actual data, have active users and demonstrate initial effectiveness.
The plan also requires measures to ensure information security, cybersecurity and personal data protection. Data must meet the criteria of being accurate, complete, clean, up to date, consistent and shareable, while supporting long-term connectivity, sharing and use.
The department will monitor, inspect and report on implementation progress on a regular basis or as needed. Any delays must be accompanied by clear identification of their causes, responsible parties and corrective measures.
According to the plan, the 100-day program will run until November 30, 2026.
