Lam Dong accelerates digital transformation in education
On August 12, the Lam Dong Department of Education and Training signed cooperation agreements with technology companies to strengthen information technology applications and digital transformation in education for the 2026 - 2030 period.

The partnership aims to develop integrated digital platforms and establish a unified digital education ecosystem that can connect with systems operated by the Ministry of Education and Training and the province's shared platforms. It will also build a comprehensive and accurate database to support state management under the two-tier local government model.
A key focus is deploying digital platforms for teaching, learning, assessment and learning resource management at educational institutions. LMS360 will support online and blended learning, while LCMS will help create, standardise, store and share digital learning materials. TEST360 will support question banks, testing, grading and learning outcome analysis, alongside a digital library system for managing and accessing educational resources.
The partners also agreed to gradually integrate artificial intelligence (AI) into education, with an initial focus on training teachers to use AI for lesson preparation, learning material development, lesson planning and test design. An AI programme for students from Grades 1 to 12 is also being explored.
AI applications will also be considered for creating learning materials, supporting students, managing smart attendance systems and providing school safety alerts. These solutions will only be introduced at eligible institutions within the scope approved by the department, with safeguards for data security and student privacy.

Speaking at the ceremony, Phan Duc Thai, Deputy Director of the Lam Dong Department of Education and Training said digital transformation plays an important role in modernising education management, teaching and assessment. Cooperation with technology companies will help mobilise resources, expertise and technological solutions to build an integrated digital education ecosystem suited to local needs.
“The partnership must deliver practical applications and measurable results, with a clear roadmap and specific outcomes,” Thai said.
“Technology, particularly AI, must provide genuine support for teachers and students and improve management efficiency, while ensuring information security, personal data protection and learners’ rights.”
