Breathing New Life into Public Parks
After more than a year of administrative consolidation, many urban areas in Lam Dong Province are taking on a new look. Alongside urban beautification and infrastructure investment, a number of parks have been renovated and enriched with cultural, artistic and sporting activities, gradually becoming vibrant community spaces and familiar gathering places for residents.

Rainbow Music Space - A New Cultural Meeting Point
With a brightly decorated stage, colorful lighting and a lively mix of music, dance, folk dance and modern performances, the program offered local residents an engaging and memorable weekend evening. The participation of clubs and artistic groups created a warm, vibrant atmosphere suitable for audiences of all ages.
This was the first time the program had been held at Rainbow Park with funding mobilized from non-state sources. Tran Thi Thanh, a resident of Quarter 8 in Phu Thuy Ward, said: “Previously, there were almost no activities at this park. Today, my child brought me here after hearing there would be a performance. Besides enjoying the music, people can take a walk and relax after a day of work. I hope the program will be maintained to meet the community's cultural and spiritual needs.”
More than simply an artistic performance, the Rainbow Music Space aims to create an additional venue for cultural and artistic activities for residents and visitors. It also provides opportunities for people of different generations to interact, perform and build stronger community ties.
According to People's Artist Minh Man, former Director of the Blue Sea Theatre and now Secretary of the Party Cell of Quarter 7, the program was organized to meet the growing demand for recreation and artistic entertainment among residents and tourists. Its content will be diverse and flexible, changing from one performance night to another while drawing inspiration from the coastal setting and helping promote the image of the locality.

The program is expected to take place on Saturday or Sunday evenings each week, with activities changing regularly. They may include street music, song and dance performances, circus and variety shows, as well as exchanges involving dance groups, folk dance teams and amateur arts clubs. Programs such as “We Sing - We Listen” will also welcome participants from different backgrounds and age groups.
From a public green space, Rainbow Park is expected to develop into a new cultural meeting point in Phu Thuy Ward, where residents can gather, enjoy the arts and build stronger community ties.
Nguyen Hue Park Gets a New Look in the Heart of the Urban Area
As localities continue to develop, the need for green spaces where people can relax, exercise and connect with one another has become increasingly important. Phase 2 of Nguyen Hue Park in La Gi Ward has been completed and put into operation, contributing to a new look for the central urban area and improving the quality of public spaces.

Covering approximately 13,000 square meters, the park received nearly VND29 billion in investment from lottery revenue under the medium-term public investment plan. It was designed with a harmonious combination of open spaces, internal walkways and greenery. Granite was used for the paved areas, sidewalks and steps, creating a modern and durable appearance while ensuring safety for visitors.
Designed as a green, clean and attractive public space, the park features more than 4,300 square meters of lawn and 40 trees. Its drainage system, automatic irrigation and LED lighting have also been developed in a coordinated manner. One of its architectural highlights is a 12-meter mushroom-shaped lighting tower, which creates a distinctive visual feature after nightfall.
Nguyen Van Ga, a resident of Tan An 3 Residential Group, said: “Previously, the park was often a gathering place for people causing public disorder. Since it was repaired and upgraded, it has become brighter and more attractive, and more and more people come here to relax and enjoy themselves in the evenings.”

When properly invested in and effectively utilized, these urban green spaces do more than enhance the landscape - they become more accessible, welcoming and full of life.
