Surveying locations for the festival's floral spaces
On the afternoon of August 21, Dinh Van Tuan, Member of the Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee, led a delegation to survey locations proposed for floral installations and themed spaces for the 11th Da Lat Flower festival 2026.
The delegation surveyed areas around Xuan Huong Lake, Lam Vien Square and several central roads and locations in Da Lat.
Representatives from provincial departments, agencies and local authorities joined the survey, together with Da Lat Urban Services Joint Stock Company, Dalat Hasfarm Co., Ltd., the Da Lat Flower Association and other relevant organizations.

During the working session, participating organizations presented ideas, designs and proposed layouts for the floral spaces.
Several floral, ornamental plant and landscape design models were displayed at the Da Lat City Flower Garden for consideration and selection.
Under the proposed plan, floral spaces will not be limited to the areas around Xuan Huong Lake and Lam Vien Square. They are also expected to appear along major roads, at city gateways, in the Prenn Pass area, at roundabouts and in locations with high numbers of residents and tourists.
Floral displays to combine aesthetics and traffic safety
The organizers are considering flower streets, flower towers, artistic flower clusters and various themed landscape installations.
These spaces are intended to enhance the urban landscape while creating additional sightseeing and photo opportunities for visitors during the festival.

Following the survey, Dinh Van Tuan asked relevant agencies to carefully review the locations, scale and layout of the floral spaces, particularly at traffic intersections, roundabouts and areas where large numbers of people gather.
According to the provincial vice chairman, floral installations must create distinctive highlights for the festival while remaining harmonious with the urban landscape and avoiding disruption to traffic.
At roundabouts and intersections, the size and height of landscape installations must be carefully calculated to ensure adequate visibility for drivers and other road users.

Early preparation for flowers and ornamental plants
Dinh Van Tuan also asked agencies and local authorities to prepare flowers and ornamental plants early and select varieties suited to the festival schedule and weather conditions.
The aim is to maintain the quality and appearance of floral spaces throughout the festival.

For the area proposed for the opening-night fireworks display, agencies were instructed to review the layout and safety arrangements to ensure the event is safe and convenient for residents and visitors.

The festival is also expected to help promote the image of Da Lat and Lam Dong, strengthen the Da Lat flower brand and attract both domestic and international visitors.
