In preparation for the 11th Da Lat Flower Festival 2026, Xuan Huong-Da Lat Ward has launched a campaign to improve the urban landscape and create flower displays and green spaces, helping beautify the area.

With this spirit in mind, the People's Committee of Xuan Huong-Da Lat Ward has launched a campaign to improve the landscape and create flower displays and floral spaces in celebration of the 11th Da Lat Flower Festival 2026.
The campaign centers on simple, community-oriented messages: "Every person, every household plants flowers and trees"; "Every agency creates a flower display - Every business creates a green space - Every household has a beautiful flower pot".
In this way, participation in the festival goes beyond decoration and becomes a community activity that encourages everyone to take responsibility for the place where they live.
Notably, the ward is encouraging residential groups to mobilize local residents to participate in creating flower-lined streets, flower-decorated road sections and community flower spots.
Models such as "Beautiful House - Lovely Garden," "Flower Balcony," "Green Fence," "Flower Corner in Front of the House," "Flower Street" and "Green Spaces at Agencies and Organizations" are being encouraged for wider adoption, creating a consistent look from public spaces to individual neighborhoods.
This approach reflects an admirable perspective on urban beautification: an area becomes beautiful not only through investment, but also through awareness and community participation.
When residents personally plant, care for and protect a flower bed in front of their homes; when businesses set aside green spaces within their premises; and when every agency creates its own floral display, the urban landscape can be enriched through the simplest everyday actions.
Flower spaces, therefore, should not be seen as temporary "products" that appear only during the festival. The goal is for these displays to be properly maintained so that they do not look attractive only briefly before deteriorating.
After the festival, agencies, organizations and individuals are expected to continue caring for and adding seasonal flowers and greenery, while maintaining cleanliness and a green, clean and attractive environment on a regular basis.
The Festival Begins with Everyday Actions
Importantly, the campaign does not emphasize scale or elaborate designs. A project could be a flower-lined street, flower garden, flower bed, miniature landscape, floral gate, green fence or flower-and-greenery check-in spot. It could also simply involve improving the grounds or frontage of a household, school, business establishment or accommodation facility.
The ward encourages creative ideas that combine flowers and greenery with the landscape, environment and distinctive cultural characteristics of Da Lat.
Priority is given to projects along major roads, in residential areas and locations with large numbers of residents and visitors, as well as areas with tourism and service activities. These projects can both create visual highlights and help promote the local image.
An important requirement is harmony and safety. Floral installations must not encroach on roads or sidewalks, obstruct traffic, block sightlines, cover traffic signs or lighting systems, or interfere with technical infrastructure.
In other words, flowers should not simply make the area beautiful; they should enhance beauty within a civilized, orderly and welcoming urban environment.
Under the plan, participating units are to register their projects by August 30, 2026, and are encouraged to complete them before October 31, 2026, allowing sufficient time to care for and perfect the landscape ahead of the festival.
The campaign particularly emphasizes voluntary participation suited to the conditions and capabilities of each agency, organization, unit and individual. Participants are encouraged to use lawful resources in an economical, practical and effective manner.
Tran Thi Vu Loan, Chairwoman of the People's Committee of Xuan Huong-Da Lat Ward, called on agencies, organizations, businesses, household businesses, residential groups and residents to actively respond through concrete, practical actions suited to local conditions.
Each flower display, street and floral space created and maintained will help make the ward increasingly "Bright - Green - Clean - Beautiful," civilized and friendly, while creating highlights for the 11th Da Lat Flower Festival and generating lasting value beyond the festival itself.
Pham Gia Bay, head of An Son 1 Residential Group in Xuan Huong-Da Lat Ward, said the campaign to improve the landscape and create floral installations for the 11th Da Lat Flower Festival is an opportunity for every resident to contribute to beautifying their neighborhood.
This can begin with very practical actions such as maintaining environmental cleanliness, caring for trees, planting flowers in front of homes, and creating flower-lined streets and community flower spots.
"When residents participate, care for the flowers together and consciously protect the landscape, the neighborhood will not only look more beautiful during the festival season but will also develop a lasting beauty as part of everyday life," he said.
A beautiful flower festival should not be measured only by the number of programs or spectacular large-scale displays. The vitality of the festival also lies in the way flowers become part of every street, neighborhood and home, and in residents' sense that they are the ones shaping their living environment and voluntarily contributing in small ways to making the area more beautiful.
From a flower display and a green space to a single beautiful flower pot, Xuan Huong-Da Lat is creating its own way of welcoming the festival: starting with the community, spreading throughout the community and working toward sustainable values.
When everyone takes care of a small patch of green, the entire area can bloom.
