Over the years, Lam Dong has regularly provided support to Champasak students, including scholarships and human resource training. Many students who completed their studies in Viet Nam have returned to Champasak to work in state agencies and businesses or create their own employment, contributing to local development.

Scholarships support human resources development

Notably, the annual provision of three full scholarships for human resource training has been maintained. The Champasak side said the training outcomes have been positive, with graduates generally finding employment related to their fields of study.

Champasak also expressed its wish that the two education sectors continue advising the leaders of the two provinces on expanding educational cooperation.

Soupasith Phavixay asked Lam Dong to continue monitoring and supporting Lao students, particularly those from Champasak, studying in the province, while strengthening information exchange to promptly address difficulties arising during their studies and daily life.

Phan Duc Thai, Deputy Director of the Lam Dong Department of Education and Training, said the Party and State of Viet Nam have consistently identified education and training as a top national priority and introduced various policies to improve the quality of teaching staff.

These include policies on salaries and benefits, support for pedagogy students and tuition exemptions for students enrolled in teacher-training programs. Such measures have helped make the teaching profession more attractive. In recent years, admission scores for teacher-training programs have remained among the highest across Viet Nam's university admissions system.
