Lam Dong draws visitors with vibrant summer tourism
The programs highlighted the province's natural landscapes, cultural heritage, people and tourism products, while creating new experiences for visitors and promoting Lam Dong as a dynamic and diverse destination.

A diverse series of tourism events
Heavy afternoon rain in Bac Gia Nghia Ward did not dampen the appeal of the closing night of the 2026 Summer Tourism Season. According to the organizing committee, more than 5,000 spectators gathered at Gia Nghia Central Square to enjoy a large-scale art program featuring carefully staged performances.
From Truong Xuan Commune, Hoang Anh brought her children to Gia Nghia to enjoy the evening and wait for the show to begin. She said the event gave her children an opportunity to watch professional artists perform on a large stage.
“We hope there will be more occasions like this, where we can meet professional singers and enjoy spectacular performances,” Hoang Anh said.
For local residents, the program also provided an opportunity to take part directly in cultural and artistic activities.

Thi Dop was among 14 M'nong artisans who performed in the opening act of the closing program. She said she had few opportunities to watch professional artists perform on a large stage.
“As someone who has lived for many years in Dieng Du hamlet, Quang Tan Commune, I rarely have the chance to see artists perform on a major stage. To prepare for the program, the artisans and I practiced and rehearsed extensively, bringing the simple sounds of traditional instruments to the audience,” Thi Dop said.
The closing night marked the end of more than four months of activities, which began in late April 2026. The program featured a wide range of events, including festivals, cultural and sports activities, as well as tourism promotion and stimulus programs.
The opening ceremony, held in conjunction with the announcement of the master plan for the Mui Ne National Tourism Area, attracted nearly 10,000 participants. The Da Lat Music Night Run 2026 and its concert brought together more than 5,500 runners and nearly 15,000 spectators. The 2026 Sports Festival attracted nearly 20,000 athletes.

According to Dinh Van Tuan, member of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee, the appeal of the tourism season came from the diversity of events and their ability to showcase Lam Dong's distinctive values while encouraging residents and visitors to participate.
In addition to 18 province-level festivals, events and sports activities, hundreds of grassroots cultural activities were held across communes, wards and special administrative zones. Exhibitions of tourism and OCOP products, experiential activities and cultural exchanges created additional attractions and experiences for residents and visitors.
Building momentum for year-end tourism
After more than four months, the tourism campaign is estimated to have served more than 10.6 million visitors and generated nearly VND29.7 trillion in revenue. Alongside on-site activities, around 2,350 news reports, articles and television features covered the province's programs, helping promote the image and brand of “Lam Dong - The Green Symphony.”

The local business community joined the tourism stimulus campaign with hundreds of tourism products and service packages offering discounts of 10% to 50%. The programs “Lam Dong - Come to Love” and “Lam Dong Residents - Experience Lam Dong Tourism” attracted participation from nearly 100 businesses.
Tourism promotion activities in Hanoi and cooperation programs with Khanh Hoa, Dong Nai, Indonesia and Malaysia, as well as India, were also organized. These initiatives expanded opportunities for cooperation, market connections and the development of linked tourism products and travel routes.

During the first eight months of 2026, Lam Dong welcomed more than 16.46 million visitors, up 19% year on year. Tourism revenue reached nearly VND45.6 trillion, up 22.3%.
Compared with the province's target of more than 25.8 million visitors for 2026, Lam Dong needs to attract more than 9 million additional visitors during the final four months of the year.
This target is considered achievable as the final months of the year will feature a number of major tourism events. The immediate highlight is the five-day National Day holiday from September 2, followed by a series of activities welcoming the 11th Da Lat Flower Festival in 2026.

With Lien Khuong Airport back in operation, tourism stimulus programs are continuing to be rolled out by local businesses. Airfares to Da Lat are considered relatively competitive compared with some destinations in the region, providing an additional incentive for travelers.
Many accommodation providers have reported that bookings have increased by around 40%. Demand is not limited to the holiday period but is expected to continue throughout September.
Building on the results of the summer tourism season, Lam Dong is entering the final months of 2026 with favorable conditions to attract more visitors. A series of ongoing and upcoming events is expected to further promote the image of “Lam Dong - The Green Symphony” and create additional momentum for the province to achieve its tourism target for the year.
