Lam Dong Steps Up Trade Promotion to Boost Exports to China
On September 7, the Lam Dong Department of Industry and Trade, in coordination with the Vietnam Trade Office in China, held the 2026 Export Promotion and Business Matching Conference.
At the conference, delegates were introduced to the potential and strengths of Lam Dong Province, particularly in agricultural production, agricultural product processing, and the development of industries in which the province has competitive advantages.
These are considered fields with significant room for expanded cooperation, especially given the increasingly diverse demand in the Chinese market for high-quality agricultural products and food.
A representative of the Vietnam Trade Office in China briefed delegates on China's cooperation priorities, import requirements and opportunities for Vietnamese businesses to expand their presence in the Chinese market.
Businesses were advised to stay updated on market developments, improve product quality, and comply with requirements on traceability, planting area codes, packing facility codes and other Chinese regulations.
The conference also examined the production, processing, trade and export of several key Lam Dong agricultural products, along with local enterprises' supply capacity and Chinese partners' cooperation needs.
Through networking activities, Lam Dong enterprises have gained new opportunities to showcase their products and production and processing capabilities, connect with potential partners and expand distribution channels in the Chinese market.
The event also gave businesses an opportunity to raise export-related difficulties and seek solutions to improve competitiveness and build more stable supply chains.
Delegates noted that to fully tap the potential of the Chinese market, Lam Dong enterprises need to move beyond seasonal exports and develop sustainable production, processing and distribution chains, with greater emphasis on quality, packaging, labeling, traceability and brand building.
Expanding processing capacity and increasing the share of processed products will also help raise the added value and competitiveness of local agricultural products.
At the conference, a representative of the Lam Dong Customs Department outlined measures to support businesses, facilitate trade, promote import and export activities, and strengthen economic and trade ties with China.
The provincial tax authority also presented policies and support measures to assist businesses in production, commercial and export activities.
Alongside efforts to expand markets, the conference highlighted opportunities for deeper cross-border cooperation in industry, trade and logistics. Stronger links between businesses on both sides are expected to foster long-term partnerships and create new opportunities for Lam Dong enterprises to expand production, trade and exports.
During the conference, Lam Dong and Chinese enterprises signed cooperation agreements, laying the groundwork for stronger trade ties, closer supply-demand connections and wider access to the Chinese market for Lam Dong products.
The conference also underscored Lam Dong's commitment to expanding trade promotion, diversifying export markets, improving business competitiveness and integrating the province's key products more deeply into regional and global supply chains.
