Lam Dong’s GRDP surged 9.65% in Q3 2026, lifting nine-month growth to 8.51%. Growth has accelerated steadily quarter by quarter, reflecting the provincial leadership’s flexible and decisive management, strong commitment at all levels and the entire political system’s efforts to overcome challenges. This momentum provides a solid launchpad for Lam Dong’s final sprint toward its double-digit growth target by the end of 2026.

In Q3 2026, Lam Dong’s gross regional domestic product (GRDP) surged 9.65%, ranking 20th among 34 provinces and cities nationwide, lifting nine-month growth to 8.51%.
Amid economic headwinds from market fluctuations, institutional bottlenecks and unusual natural disasters, Lam Dong’s growth momentum has not only been maintained but has continued to accelerate. The steady improvement in growth from one quarter to the next is a vivid demonstration of the flexible and decisive leadership of the provincial authorities, as well as the entire political system’s efforts to overcome difficulties.
The impressive results did not come naturally. They were the direct outcome of close, decisive and timely direction from the Provincial Party Committee and the provincial People’s Committee. Firm instructions, based on the principle of “not avoiding difficulties and not waiting for higher-level guidance,” have helped build strategic confidence and strongly activate key economic pillars.
Y Thanh Ha Nie Kdam, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee and Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, delivers the concluding remarks at the 13th Conference of the Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee for the 2025–2030 term.
The recovery is clearly reflected in a range of positive indicators. State budget revenue reached nearly VND 26 trillion, exceeding 80% of the estimate assigned by the central government, demonstrating the province’s proactive and determined efforts in revenue management and preventing revenue losses.
Meanwhile, total social investment capital exceeded VND 84.1 trillion, up 12.09%, thanks to the provincial leadership’s direct efforts to resolve bottlenecks facing key projects. In the service sector, tourism continued to demonstrate its role as a leading growth driver, welcoming more than 18 million visitors, up 19% year on year.
Industrial park infrastructure in Lam Dong is being invested in and completed, opening up opportunities to attract more businesses in the coming period.
The provincial leadership has not limited its direction to meetings and policy discussions, but has remained closely connected to the field, working directly to resolve a series of long-standing problems related to land and site clearance.
At the same time, efforts to consolidate the organizational structure, complete 100% of plans for restructuring public service units, villages and residential groups, and ensure the stable operation of the two-tier local government system following the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026–2031 term have demonstrated the modern and flexible governance capacity of Lam Dong’s Party organization and administration.
Ho Van Muoi, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial People’s Committee, together with vice chairmen of the provincial People’s Committee, chairs a meeting and urges agencies and localities to achieve the highest possible GRDP growth target.
However, the nine-month growth result remained 0.69 percentage points below the projected scenario, while land-related revenue continues to face potential pressure. To achieve annual growth of at least 10%, Q4 must record growth of more than 12.88%.
This is a major challenge, but not an impossible one, as the province’s leadership has built up the experience and resolve needed for its most decisive acceleration in the final months of the year.
“
“Q4 2026 is the decisive final sprint. All levels and sectors must mobilize every available resource, tighten discipline and remain determined to bring full-year 2026 growth to at least 10%. All levels, sectors and localities must fully embrace the principle governing public-service operations: ‘Responsibility, action, results and accountability.’ Each unit and locality must clearly define its responsibilities and turn them into ‘right and effective’ actions that produce measurable results. Those who perform well must be promptly commended, while those who fail to meet requirements must face strict criticism and accountability reviews.”

The non-state enterprise sector records a sharp increase in its employment index.
Entering Q4 2026, with a sharp policy focus and a strong action-oriented approach, the Provincial Party Committee and provincial People’s Committee have identified tighter public-service discipline as the first breakthrough, shifting decisively from a mindset of “management” to one of “action and development facilitation.”
The province is determined to eliminate the passive practice of shifting responsibility and “waiting for guidance” across different levels of government. The evaluation of officials and heads of agencies and units is being quantified through specific key performance indicators (KPIs).
Emphasizing strict discipline, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Y Thanh Ha Nie Kdam has instructed all levels and sectors not to use workload as an excuse for delays, but instead to clearly grasp assigned tasks and ensure they are carried through to completion.
Energy projects are expected to make a significant contribution to the local industrial sector.
Alongside changes in governance thinking, the core task is to remove institutional bottlenecks and unlock resources for public investment. Defining public investment as “catalytic capital” capable of activating the entire economy, Lam Dong is determined to disburse 100% of its 2026 capital plan.
The provincial leadership has instructed the Department of Agriculture and Environment and relevant specialized agencies to focus on fully resolving difficulties related to land procedures and site clearance. Maximizing resources currently tied up in key projects will not only create momentum for production and business activities, but also directly open up sustainable sources of budget revenue for the province.
The processing and manufacturing industry remains one of Lam Dong’s key growth drivers, creating a foundation for the province to achieve its 10% GRDP growth target in 2026.
With public resources being unlocked, the province is shifting from a mindset of simply “calling for investment” to genuinely “accompanying” the business community.
Specialized agencies are responsible for closely following each enterprise and proactively addressing difficulties related to land access, financing and administrative procedures. Investment attraction can no longer stop at commitments on paper, but must be translated into comprehensive support throughout the life cycle of each project, creating the most transparent, secure and open investment environment possible.

At the Conference on the Q3 Socio-Economic, National Defense and Security Situation and Q4 Tasks for 2026, provincial leaders stressed that policies can only deliver results when they activate the initiative and decisiveness of the political system at the grassroots level.
Chairpersons of People’s Committees of communes, wards and special administrative zones must take direct responsibility to the provincial People’s Committee for socio-economic development targets in their respective areas.
Grassroots authorities must proactively address matters within their delegated and decentralized powers, eliminating the mentality of waiting for instructions. Coordination between specialized departments and grassroots administrations must become truly smooth and effective, with public satisfaction and business success serving as the highest measures of governance performance.
The challenges facing Q4 are enormous. However, with the province’s confirmed growth momentum, determined and creative leadership, and the resolve of the entire political system to act with full responsibility, Lam Dong has strong grounds and confidence to deliver a major breakthrough.
The province aims to successfully achieve full-year 2026 GRDP growth of at least 10%, laying a firm foundation for faster and more sustainable development in the new period.
