Tourism Draws Visitors and Opens Up Growth Opportunities

As the winter tourism season gets underway, international visitors are arriving in Mui Ne to escape colder weather. Along the route from Mui Ne to Hoa Thang, colourful jeeps travel in convoys, taking visitors to Bau Trang, a nationally recognized scenic site since 2019.

Beyond Bau Trang, visitors can explore an unspoiled fishing village and visit farms growing melons, grapes, dragon fruit and other produce using clean, high-tech farming methods. Some farms have combined agricultural production with tourism, welcoming visitors to learn about cultivation and harvesting. Recently, Hoa Thang joined five neighbouring localities in a joint initiative to promote tourism and strengthen regional links.

The initiative is expected to create opportunities for Hoa Thang to expand tourism services, accommodation and leisure experiences built around its existing strengths.

Duong Minh Quang, owner of Vy Vy Farm in Hoa Thang, said visits by South Korean tourists had picked up during the current season. To prepare for the period leading up to Tet, Vietnam's Lunar New Year, the farm is tending several varieties of grapes, including Hong Nhat, Mau Don and Bailey, as well as apple, guava and dragon fruit crops. The aim is to offer visitors attractive farm landscapes and the chance to pick and taste fresh fruit on site.

Hoa Thang is gradually developing its tourism potential

Tho Minh Bao, Vice Chairman of the Hoa Thang Commune People's Committee, said the coastal commune falls partly within the planning area of the Mui Ne National Tourism Area. Hoa Thang is located in the core zone and is expected to serve as a link in expanding the province's coastal tourism space.

The planning framework seeks not only to protect Bau Trang, a nationally recognized scenic site, and the area's distinctive sand dunes, but also to balance economic development with the conservation of natural resources and the environment.

“

With these advantages, Hoa Thang is gradually unlocking its tourism potential and creating new momentum for the local economy. Mobilizing resources will allow tourism to attract more visitors while creating opportunities for services, jobs and higher incomes for residents.

Administrative reform and digital transformation have also made progress. Over the first 10 months of the year, the commune's Public Administration Service Centre processed 3,242 of 3,297 applications, or approximately 98%, with no cases exceeding the prescribed deadline.

Hoa Thang continues to look to tourism as a sector with considerable room for growth

For the remainder of 2026, Hoa Thang is prioritizing efforts to achieve its socioeconomic development targets and meet its annual plan.
