Returning to Phan Thiet, Embracing the Sea Waves
When mentioning Phan Thiet (Lam Dong), people often immediately think of blue seas, white sands, golden sunshine, and an abundant source of fresh seafood.

A symphony of sea and sand
Phan Thiet boasts several distinctive attractions, including a 22-meter-long whale skeleton—the largest in Vietnam—preserved at Dinh Van Thuy Tu, a site of profound cultural and spiritual significance.
The area also features unique landscapes such as Mui Ne’s flying sand dunes and Bau Trang, known for their ever-changing shapes.

In addition, Co Thach Beach is renowned for its 1.5-kilometer stretch of colorful stones of varying sizes, a landscape that continues to captivate visitors. Other highlights include the 49-meter-long reclining Buddha on Ta Cu Mountain and Ke Ga Lighthouse, which is among the oldest and tallest lighthouses in Vietnam.
Notably, Phat Quang Pagoda houses a remarkable collection of the Lotus Sutra, carved on wooden blocks more than 300 years ago. Created by three Zen masters and twelve disciples over a span of 28 years (1706–1734), this set consists of 118 wooden plates inscribed with over 600,000 characters and illustrations depicting the Buddha preaching.
A sweep of pristine white sand bends alongside the vibrant blue ocean, where waves softly crash onto the beach. Reddish sand dunes mingled with rich green plant life stretch for many kilometers—this is the picturesque shoreline of Tien Thanh, etched in the minds of those who visit.

With its pristine coastline and tranquil waters, Phan Thiet offers a striking coastal landscape defined not only by its blue sea, white sand, and golden sunshine, but also by its vivid red and pink sand dunes. The Ham Tien–Mui Ne coast is lively and bustling, offering visitors a perfect blend of relaxation and water sports such as kayaking and windsurfing.
In the early morning, tourists can accompany local fishermen to haul in their nets and sort through fresh catches, then prepare and savor seafood themselves for an authentic seaside experience.
Along the coastline, hundreds of investors have developed tourism facilities, including numerous 3- to 4-star resorts and hotels catering to both mid-range and high-end travelers.
Budget accommodations, beach camping services, and tent rentals are also widely available for those seeking closer contact with nature.

Together with Ca Na and Phu Quy, Phan Thiet is one of the world’s 18 most important upwelling zones (with only two in Asia), making its seafood among the richest and finest. Visitors are also charmed by the friendly and hospitable local people
Preparing for the 2026 Summer Tourism Season
Currently, Phan Thiet is preparing for the summer tourism season in 2026.
Due to the unusually high temperatures in various southern provinces, Phan Thiet is becoming an increasingly popular destination thanks to its refreshing, clear beaches and resort options.

Hotels and restaurants are making thorough preparations to ensure visitors enjoy a memorable stay. Room rates and service prices are now available online, making it easier for travelers to check information and book in advance.
The April 30–May 1 holiday marks the start of the summer travel season, with tourist attractions rolling out a wide range of entertainment activities for visitors. Food safety also remains a key priority, with many resorts sourcing seafood from trusted suppliers

Community-based tourism locations are anticipated to operate at their full potential during the summer season. Recently, a familiarization trip program called “Invite You to Phan Thiet” brought together 240 representatives from 150 travel agencies, transportation companies, restaurants and hotels.
These collaborators are crucial for drawing in visitors, particularly to well-known spots like Mui Ne and Hon Rom. The event was hosted by the Phan Thiet Sales Group Club in preparation for the upcoming summer tourism season in 2026.
As summer approaches, Phan Thiet—boasting its clear blue waters, swaying palm trees, and tranquil resorts—continues to be a must-visit destination for travelers.
