School gardens bloom in celebration of Da Lat Flower Festival 2026
From colorful flower beds and green campuses to creative youth projects made from recycled materials, schools across Lam Dong Province are improving their landscapes and creating greener, more attractive learning spaces to welcome the 11th Da Lat Flower Festival in 2026.

Creativity from reused materials
Preparations for the 11th Da Lat Flower Festival in 2026 are taking shape in schoolyards, flower beds, and campuses across the province.
Schools are not only planting more flowers and trees but also creating decorative spaces from recycled materials, adding new highlights to their campuses.

At Le Quy Don Primary School in Xuan Huong - Da Lat Ward, the school's youth project stands out for its creative and environmentally friendly approach. Used materials have been repurposed and transformed into colorful mini-landscapes and green corners, bringing new life to the campus.
Without requiring major investment, students and youth union members have turned old materials into attractive features. The approach saves costs and labor while encouraging creativity, reuse and waste reduction among students.

Pham Thi Minh, the school's vice principal, said the project has helped beautify the campus while giving young people opportunities to show initiative and creativity. By recycling and reusing old materials, the school hopes to raise environmental awareness and encourage students to turn small ideas into practical actions.

Elsewhere, Da Sar Secondary and High School in Lac Duong Commune also stands out with its green campus, lined with trees, lawns and flower beds.
The combination of greenery and regularly maintained flower beds creates a pleasant, nature-friendly learning environment.

Caring for trees, maintaining flower beds, and keeping the campus clean have become part of daily school life. Through these activities, students are encouraged to take responsibility for protecting greenery and maintaining a clean, attractive learning environment.
Adding color to the major festival
The movement to create greener, more colorful school spaces is not limited to central Da Lat. Schools in many localities are also taking part through practical activities.

At Ro Men Primary School in Dam Rong 2 Commune, the school garden between two playgrounds is being renovated. Flower beds are being weeded, soil loosened, organic fertilizer added and new flowers planted in neat rows.
Staff, teachers, youth union members, parents and students are all involved, from preparing the soil and planting flowers to arranging and caring for plants. Their joint efforts have created a lively and cooperative atmosphere while making the school grounds greener and more attractive.

Duong Thi Binh, vice principal of Ro Men Primary School, said planting flowers is a practical activity to welcome the Da Lat Flower Festival while also raising environmental awareness among staff, teachers and students.
The school is focusing on long-term care and maintenance so the flower beds remain a lasting feature of the campus.
A common feature of these projects is the direct involvement of students. They not only enjoy greener surroundings but also help create, care for and preserve them. Each flower bed and green corner therefore becomes a practical lesson in love for nature, responsibility and community awareness.

These school activities also support the province-wide campaign "Everyone plants flowers, every home grows flowers and greenery."
The campaign mobilizes residential areas, agencies, schools and households, with the goal of having every residential area develop at least one flower-lined street and one community flower site, while encouraging more than 90% of households to plant flowers or greenery in front of their homes.

As the festival approaches, school projects and green spaces are adding more color to the celebration. From recycling old materials to planting and caring for flowers and trees, teachers and students are working together to beautify their surroundings while spreading a love of nature and greater environmental awareness.
The 11th Da Lat Flower Festival in 2026, themed "Da Lat - A Harmony of Flowers and Music," is expected to feature 12 main programs and 28 supporting activities.
The opening ceremony is scheduled for the evening of December 19 at Lam Vien Square, while a New Year 2027 art program combined with the closing ceremony is planned for December 31. Floral spaces are expected to welcome residents and visitors from December 18, 2026 to January 3, 2027.
