Stretching 55 kilometers, the Ta Nang – Phan Dung trail is knowned as one of Southeast Asia’s most stunning and challenging trekking routes. With elevations ranging from 500 to 1,100 meters, the trail leads adventurers through lush pine forests, vast grasslands, and endless green hills.

Especially, Mr. Phan Thanh Tuan's dragon fruit garden of more than 7,000 pillars not only secures steady income but also attracts visitors eager to explore, take photos, and learn about cultivation. Across Ta Nang, more than 8,700 hectares of farmland are under cultivation, with 500 hectares applying high-tech methods. Key products include coffee, rice, macadamia, vegetables, and flowers, alongside standout specialties like the 3-star OCOP product “coffee-flavored dried beef.”
Endless rice paddies, mulberry fields, and organic farms now double as agri-tourism destinations, where visitors can experience hands-on harvesting and taste fresh local produce.
Indigenous cultural identity
With 78% of its population belonging to ethnic minorities, Ta Nang is rich in cultural identity. Traditional brocade weaving, community festivals, gong performances, and unique local cuisine are more than cultural assets—they are invaluable resources to promote community-based tourism.

According to Mr Nguyen Tien Dien, Secretary of the Ta Nang Commune Party Committee, the locality is encouraging crop diversification and high-tech farming linked with agri-tourism. “Combining agriculture with tourism creates shared value,” he said. “visitors gain authentic experiences, while farmers increase income and agricultural products improve thanks to stable output.”
