The 1st “Lam Vien – Da Lat Steps Into Spring” Cross-Country Race
Lam Vien – Da Lat Ward hosted its inaugural cross-country race, titled “Lam Vien – Da Lat Steps Into Spring,” at the Flower Garden on February 28. The event captured the festive spirit of the early days of the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year.

The event attracted more than 400 runners, including officials, civil servants, public employees, workers from local agencies and units, along with a large number of local residents.
From early morning, the start and finish lines at the Da Lat Flower Garden were filled with colorful race uniforms. Strong and steady strides in the cool highland spring weather created a vivid picture of a dynamic, friendly and energetic Da Lat.
The race featured two distances suitable for different participant groups.
In the 3-kilometer race for women, runners started from the Lam Vien - Da Lat Ward Party Committee Office at 106 Phu Dong Thien Vuong Street, passing through Phu Dong Thien Vuong – Vo Truong Toan – Nguyen Tu Luc streets before finishing at Da Lat Flower Garden.
The 5km category for male runners featured a loop starting and ending at the Da Lat Flower Garden, taking participants along the streets of Tran Nhan Tong, Phu Dong Thien Vuong, Vo Truong Toan, and Nguyen Tu Luc.
The Organizing Committee awarded one First Prize, one Second Prize, one Third Prize and seven Consolation Prizes in this category.

According to the final results, the First Prize in the women’s category was awarded to runner Hoang Thi Dieu, while Nguyen Hong Bac claimed First Prize in the men’s category.

The Second Prize in the women’s category went to Van Thi Thu Huong, and the men’s Second Prize was awarded to Jo Ngoh Ya Diep.

In addition, one Third Prize and seven Consolation Prizes were presented to runners with outstanding performances.
As its inaugural edition, the race made a strong positive impression, laying a solid foundation for Lam Vien – Da Lat Ward to sustain and develop the event as an annual activity. Through this sporting initiative, the image of Lam Vien – Da Lat Ward as a dynamic, civilized and welcoming locality is further reinforced among both local residents and visitors.
