The University of Phan Thiet (UPT) has organized a career orientation program for 12th-grade students at Chu Van An, Nguyen Trai, and Thap Cham High Schools in Ninh Thuan Province. Part of the university’s 2026 admissions counseling campaign, the program has drawn strong interest from students.

At the start of the career consultation program, UPT provided students with comprehensive information about the 2026 university admissions process and guidance on choosing academic majors and navigating a rapidly changing job market.

A key aspect of the program was the direct engagement between students and UPT’s advisory team. This allowed students to voice their concerns and inquiries related to personal interests, academic strengths, career guidance, and job opportunities after graduation.

In addition to simply addressing questions, the advisory team provided thorough insights and practical examples about labor market needs and upcoming career trends, helping students develop a clearer, more realistic understanding. By sharing success stories and real-life experiences, the program built confidence and encouraged students to choose appropriate fields of study.

The program was more than just a Q&A session; it was a vital opportunity for students to clarify their objectives, avoid emotional or hasty decisions, and significantly enhance their prospects for success in their academic and professional endeavors.

Mr. Luong Quoc Vu, M.A., deputy head of the Academic Affairs Office and deputy director of the Center for Foreign Languages, Informatics, and Human Resource Development at UPT, said that candidates eligible for admission to UPT consist of those who have graduated from high school in 2026 or earlier, comply with the institution’s admission criteria, are physically capable of studying according to current regulations, and provide complete personal information along with application documents as required.

For the 2026 admission process, UPT will evaluate applications using three main criteria: scores from the National High School Graduation Examination, high school academic records (transcripts), and results from the competency assessment test administered by Vietnam National University – Ho Chi Minh City. The variety of admission methods gives students more ways to gain admission and allows them to choose the route that best matches their skills.

UPT's admissions scholarship program imposes no cap on the number of recipients and is open to all students who enroll at the university. This approach encourages students to pursue their higher education ambitions with confidence while also reducing financial pressure on their families.

Through its admissions counseling, UPT shows it's a dependable partner for students as they plan their future. The practical insights and timely assistance offered by the university have bolstered students' confidence as they face this important milestone in their lives.

UPT offers 16 undergraduate programs across multiple admission subject combinations, including: Information Technology; Tourism and Travel Service Management; Hotel Management; Restaurant and Catering Service Management; Logistics and Supply Chain Management; Law; Economic Law; English Language Studies; Construction Engineering; Business Administration; Finance and Banking; Accounting; Mechanical Engineering; Automotive Engineering; Medical Laboratory Technology; and Electrical and Electronic Engineering Technology.
