Warm “Compassionate Tet Market” Supports Residents in Western Lam Dong
On February 4, the Lam Dong Red Cross Society organized the provincial “Compassionate Tet Market” program at the Dong Gia Nghia Ward Convention Center, providing practical Tet support to disadvantaged residents in the western part of Lam Dong province.

The event featured 10 booths offering essential goods for the Lunar New Year, including instant noodles, seasoning, sugar, confectionery, and household items, with a total value exceeding VND 400 million.

The Organizing Committee distributed 500 “zero-dong” shopping vouchers, each worth VND 800,000—comprising VND 600,000 in goods and VND 200,000 in cash—to poor and near-poor households, people with disabilities, and elderly individuals without family support. Beneficiaries came from Dong Gia Nghia, Bac Gia Nghia, and Nam Gia Nghia wards.

In addition, seven scholarships worth VND 1 million each were awarded to disadvantaged students. The provincial Red Cross also presented certificates of appreciation to organizations and individuals who contributed to the program.

By mobilizing social resources, the “Compassionate Tet Market” aims to ensure that vulnerable groups—including low-income families, the elderly living alone, orphans, people with disabilities, and ethnic minorities—receive timely support and enjoy a warmer, more fulfilling Lunar New Year.
