Da Lat’s Center Takes on a New Look Ahead of the Flower Festival
In preparation for the 11th Da Lat Flower Festival 2026, agencies and service providers in Lam Dong’s central area are stepping up road improvements, sidewalk upgrades, floral decorations and environmental clean-up efforts.
Road Surfaces Upgraded at Key Intersections in Da Lat

In the final days of October, road improvement works were accelerated along several streets and at intersections in central Da Lat. These include the Tran Quoc Toan – Ho Tung Mau intersection, the Tran Hung Dao roundabout and the Nguyen Tu Luc – Tran Quoc Toan junction, where construction is being expedited and asphalt laid on deteriorated road sections.
At the Tran Quoc Toan – Ho Tung Mau intersection, road upgrades are being undertaken to repair damaged sections. The area connects several central streets and sees heavy traffic.
Similar work is underway at the Tran Hung Dao roundabout, the Nguyen Tu Luc – Tran Quoc Toan junction and Le Thi Hong Gam Street, where crews are accelerating asphalt paving. These are important traffic points serving the travel needs of residents and visitors.

Other deteriorated road sections in the central area are also being inspected and repaired. Alongside accelerating construction, contractors are putting up warning signs and arranging traffic guidance to ensure road safety.
The 11th Da Lat Flower Festival 2026 will feature 12 main programs and 28 accompanying activities under the theme “Da Lat – A Symphony of Flowers and Music.” The opening ceremony is scheduled for December 19, while the closing ceremony, combined with celebrations to welcome 2027, will take place on December 31.

Sidewalk Improvements, Floral Decorations and Cleaner Streets
Alongside road upgrades, efforts to improve sidewalks, add floral displays and maintain environmental hygiene are being carried out along streets, in parks and in public spaces.

Damaged sidewalks are being inspected for repairs, while sidewalk use is being monitored to ensure pedestrian access and maintain urban order. Trees are being pruned, and flower beds and lawns are being tidied to create a more open and attractive landscape.

Flowers are being added at selected locations along streets, at roundabouts and in parks. Existing flower beds are being refreshed by replacing poorly growing plants, while regular watering is maintained to ensure healthy growth and vibrant displays before and during the festival.

Environmental sanitation is also being stepped up alongside floral decoration. Agencies and units in central wards are focusing on waste collection, grass trimming and cleaning sidewalks and public spaces to create a greener, cleaner and more attractive urban environment.

According to observations, residents and business owners along busy commercial streets are being encouraged to keep the areas in front of their homes and shops clean, avoid littering and refrain from placing objects that obstruct pedestrian walkways.

These activities have been regularly implemented by local wards in recent weeks, helping keep streets clean and sidewalks clear during the festival period.
According to the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, relevant agencies will continue to monitor the progress of remaining works, inspect the quality of completed projects and maintain cleanliness along central streets in the lead-up to the 11th Da Lat Flower Festival 2026.
