Lam Dong Tourism Aims to Become a Key Economic Sector by 2030
Lam Dong aims to make tourism a truly key economic sector by 2030, welcoming around 40 million visitors annually, contributing approximately 12% directly to GRDP, and ranking among the country’s leading localities in tourism scale and growth.

Lam Dong Promotes Green and Smart Tourism
The goal was set by the Standing Committee of the Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee in a program implementing Politburo Resolution No. 26-NQ/TW on developing Vietnamese tourism into a key economic sector in the new era.
Under the program, Lam Dong will develop tourism toward quality, green, smart, creative and sustainable growth, with culture as its foundation and identity and quality experiences as competitive advantages, creating spillover effects across other sectors and fields.
The Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee called for unified awareness and action throughout the Party organization, identifying tourism development as a task for the entire political system. It also called for the prompt concretization of the program through feasible schemes, plans and projects.
Businesses are identified as the pioneering force, while the role of residents and communities will be promoted. The province will also step up the mobilization and effective use of resources and attract strategic investment.

Lam Dong also plans to link tourism development with science and technology, innovation, digital transformation and destination branding.
By 2030, the province aims for average annual tourism growth of 13 - 14%, with total visitor arrivals reaching around 40 million, including approximately 36.6 million domestic visitors and at least 3.4 million international visitors.
The province aims for at least 80% of key tourism areas and attractions to adopt the Green Tourism Standards. It will also select and pilot several tourism models targeting net-zero emissions in Mui Ne, Da Lat and Ta Dung.
At the same time, Lam Dong will complete the digitization, connectivity and synchronization of its tourism database with the national tourism database, national tourism digital platforms and the smart tourism ecosystem.

Lam Dong Diversifies Products and Expands Tourism Markets
To successfully implement the program, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee has set out eight key tasks and solutions, with a focus on renewing thinking and raising awareness and responsibility in the leadership and direction of tourism development.
The province will maximize resource mobilization, focus on synchronized investment and complete the socio-economic infrastructure system, while developing highly competitive tourism centers. It will also develop and diversify distinctive tourism products and strengthen interregional linkages to expand the development space.

Market development will also receive attention, with the province seeking to maintain traditional markets, expand potential markets, improve the effectiveness of tourism promotion and marketing, and build the Lam Dong tourism brand.
At the same time, the province plans to renew its management approaches and improve destination quality toward green, smart and safe tourism, associated with the brand message “Lam Dong - The Green Symphony.”
By 2045, Lam Dong aims to become one of the high-quality tourism centers in Southeast Asia and the Asia-Pacific region, with a modern and sustainable tourism sector that affirms its role as a driving force of the provincial economy.
