Da Lat Adorns Its Streets with Flowers Ahead of 2026 Flower Festival
Da Lat is stepping up urban beautification, planting and tending flowers and greenery, and creating colorful landscaped spaces as preparations continue for the 11th Da Lat Flower Festival 2026.

Community Efforts to Beautify Da Lat
In recent days, preparations for the 11th Da Lat Flower Festival have gathered pace across local wards. Alongside urban improvements, efforts to restore order on sidewalks, improve environmental sanitation, and repair and upgrade roads, local authorities are focusing on planting flowers and caring for greenery to create a clean, green, beautiful and civilized urban environment.

In response to the campaign “Everyone Plants Flowers, Every Household Plants Flowers and Greenery to Welcome the 11th Da Lat Flower Festival 2026,” a range of practical activities are being rolled out, bringing together civil servants, public employees, Youth Union members, association members, the armed forces, businesses and local residents.
Carefully tended flower beds, cleaner streets and additional green spaces are not only enhancing the urban landscape but also promoting a stronger sense of community responsibility for protecting the living environment.
In Xuan Huong - Da Lat Ward, the ward-level Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee organized a launch event for flower planting, tree planting and environmental clean-up activities at the traffic island at the intersection of Truong Cong Dinh and Phan Dinh Phung streets.

Immediately after the launch, participating groups began planting flowers at the event site while cleaning public spaces and caring for greenery along roads and alleys, at offices, schools and businesses, and in residential areas. Through these practical efforts, the urban beautification movement is gradually gaining momentum, encouraging residents to help build greener, cleaner and more attractive neighborhoods.
Tran Thi Vu Loan, Chairwoman of the Xuan Huong - Da Lat Ward People’s Committee, said the ward was focusing on urban improvements, environmental sanitation and restoring order on sidewalks. The local administration is also encouraging officials, Youth Union members, association members, businesses and residents to actively participate in the flower- and tree-planting campaign marking the 11th Da Lat Flower Festival 2026.
These efforts aim to make streets, corners and residential neighborhoods greener, cleaner, more attractive and more orderly, leaving a positive impression on residents and visitors to Da Lat.

Alongside flower and tree planting, local authorities are reviewing locations where transport infrastructure needs repairs or upgrades to ensure convenient and safe travel for residents and visitors during the festival.
Preparing Floral Displays for the Festival
Beyond residential neighborhoods, Da Lat’s parks and key public spaces are also receiving special attention. Staff and workers of Da Lat Urban Services Joint Stock Company are working intensively to plant and tend flowers, improve landscaped areas and create decorative displays for the festival.

In parks, flower gardens and public spaces, flowers in a variety of colors are being arranged and maintained to suit each location, adding visual highlights to the urban landscape. Each floral installation and decorative display requires careful planning, from selecting flower varieties and coordinating colors to arranging the space and maintaining the flowers’ freshness and visual appeal.

According to the landscape preparation plan for the festival, Da Lat Urban Services Joint Stock Company is preparing 67,500 potted flowers and expects to have approximately 100,000 planting bags available for maintaining, replacing and refreshing decorative displays at key locations across the area.
This reserve of flowers will allow the company to keep public spaces looking fresh and replace fading flowers promptly, particularly as festival activities continue over an extended period.

Preparations involve more than ensuring an adequate supply of flowers. The company must also plan for different stages of the festival, individual programs and specific display areas. Flowers need to be grown and cared for according to appropriate procedures so they reach the desired stage of growth, color and bloom at the right time. Given the potential for changing weather in Da Lat, monitoring plant growth, adjusting care routines and maintaining a backup supply of flowers are especially important.
From now until the festival opens, flower planting, maintenance and the completion of decorative displays will continue in a coordinated manner. Alongside major festival installations, streets, residential neighborhoods and public spaces are also being beautified, linking festival highlights with the area’s everyday landscape.

The 11th Da Lat Flower Festival 2026 is scheduled to take place from December 19 to 31, 2026. A number of related activities are expected to begin in November, with the festive atmosphere continuing beyond the Lunar New Year. The extended schedule requires participating units to plan flower production, placement and maintenance in stages to ensure that public displays remain vibrant and attractive throughout the festival.
Under the theme “Da Lat – A Symphony of Flowers and Music,” the 11th festival will celebrate the local flower-growing industry and the distinctive values of the area while promoting Da Lat as a destination, supporting tourism and raising public awareness of environmental protection.
The vision of building the image of “Lam Dong – A Green Symphony” also calls for the vibrant beauty of flowers to be integrated with green spaces, harmonious landscapes and sustainable development goals.

From proactive local authorities and the efforts of agencies, organizations and businesses to the participation of individual residents, preparations for the Flower Festival are taking shape through practical action. As flower gardens burst into bloom, decorative displays take shape and streets become more orderly and attractive, Da Lat will welcome the festival season with the distinctive beauty that defines it.
